Ubuntu One Mobile Sync Public Alpha
Apr 5th, 2010 | By CBrookins | Category: NewsToday on the Ubuntu One blog it was posted that they have opened the mobile contact sync to a public alpha release. Their posts states that it “supports many phones”, when I tried to check it out I was locked out of my account. I have not heard any word of an outage but I have been unable to verify any of the information from their post. Not a very good start so far. I am excited to see the new service and if it can compete with Google’s sync I will make the switch. At this time they plan to only allow paid subscribers to the Ubuntu One service access to the mobile contact sync when they officially launch. I think I could handle the cost if the service works out okay. Check out their post over at the Ubuntu One blog. http://voices.canonical.com/ubuntuone/?p=338
